We are reaching to a point where 5G in smartphones is inevitable. For 2021, we are expecting a number of devices that will feature support for fifth-gen network to double the current amount. Hardware with new connectivity support is becoming more cheap and companies are starting to bring 5G to low-cost departments. There is no way to prevent 5G phones to reach countries where 5G is not a reality yet. India is one of the strongest market for smartphones but still has a lack of operational 5G network. Still companies will bring 5G smartphones until the country gets ready for it. Motorola might launch the mid-range Moto G 5G in India in a bid to catch up with Xiaomi and Realme. The device might become one of the cheapest 5G smartphone in the country.

The new report comes directly from reliable tipster Mukul Sharma. According to him, Motorola will also launch a new smartphone in India. He also tweeted “GGGGGG” which is a completely good hint. Its the Moto G 5G launched by Motorola at European markets. Also, YouTuber Amrelia Ruhez tweeted that a mid-range phone is coming soon anf it is not from Xiaomi and Realme.

These reports also suggest that Motorola will jump other firms in terms of launching an affordable mid-range 5G handset in the country. AT present, the Indian market has OnePlus Nord which is a mid-range 5G phone priced at $337. This is too high to consider affordable. Realme and Xiaomi are ready to bring 5G mid-range phones soon but Motorola might come first with a new device hitting the range of 20-25K INR in India. Motorola is not an exciting company these days with many devices coming from Realme and Xiaomi in India. Also, the 5G factor might increase its appeal in the country.

Its worth noting that Moto G 5G costs around $300 in Europe. This is way too much for the Indian launch so the company might price it slightly less in the country. Also, the device won’t stand a chance against the OnePlus Nord that has an AMOLED panel, Snapdragon 765G and 30W fast charging. With a price tag of $280, the Moto G 5G might be a good offer in the sub-continent.

Moto G 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD display with a top-left aligned punch-hole. It also has the Snapdragon 750G chipset. It comes with a 48MP triple-camera in the rear side. It come packed with a 5,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging. The phone runs on Android 10 OS straight out of the box.
