Many supply chains have been disrupted due to this lockdown. COVID-19 outbreak is worse and estimates to continue till the end of this year all over the world. This lockdown also made companies to postpone their plans and releases.

Last week, Apple had released its budget smartphone new SE. It had planned to release iPad Pro with 5G and mini-LED technology. Now, it has postponed it to 2021 due to supply chain component issues amid coronavirus.

There were many rumors around Apple’s new iPad Pro. The 5G iPad Pro will be produced with LG Display mini-LED parts. Also, the new 15 inches to 17 inch MacBook pro is also predicted to come with LG display. I think MacBook Pro is moving away from Samsung display. Mini – LED is expected to give the same performance as OLED color. iPad Pro is expected to come with  LiDAR(a detection system which works on the principle of radar but uses light from a laser) scanner and ultra-wide camera.

Qualcomm basebands are likely to be used in 5G iPad. The mini-LED is expected to deliver better brightness and contrast than the LCD panels. Jon Prosser, a Tech Leaker said that a new 5G-enabled iPad Pro with an A14X chip and no other hardware changes would be introduced in late 2020.

Tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple was developing up to six Mini-LED products, including a 12.9-inch iPad Pro with an A14X chip for release in the third quarter of 2020. Also, there is a rumor that Apple is building its own 5G modems to reduce external dependence.
