There were news about Nikon that on July 21 it would be launching its Nikon Z5 along with a few NIKKOR lenses. The camera maker puts a halt to all the conjectures by launching an entry-level full-frame mirrorless camera and a lens. Via an official press release, in India Nikon has unveiled Nikon Z5 mirrorless camera and NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 camera lens.
The Z-mount is used by the Nikon Z5 and is part of Z series mirrorless cameras. According to the reports it has been said that Z5 is an amalgamation of different features that have been included in both Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z7. Both automation and full manual controls is present in the Z5 .
The new Z5 camera features a 24-megapixel CMOS sensor, expeed 6 image processor, human detection AF, animal AF and more. For better handheld shots, the Z-5 has in-body-image stabilization which can reduce shake by up to five stops .
A 3.2-inch touch screen display and a large OLED viewfinder is present in the Nikon Z5. Dual SD-card slots is present in the model. For video recording, the camera uses full width of the image sensor, the Z5 can shoot 4K/30p video. The same size and weight, is present in Nikon Z5, as the Nikon Z6 camera model. The price of Nikon Z5 mirrorless camera is Rs 1,13,995 and NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 camera lens price is Rs 39,995.
It is a full-frame format zoom lens which has been designed for mirrorless cameras, for the NIKKOR Z 24-50mm it is f/4-6.3 lens. The new NIKKOR Z lens features a button-less retractable mechanism because of its compact size and light weight, at 195 grams,. NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 is weather-proof as well.
