Nokia 9 PureView

HMD Global might launch Nokia 9 PureView in India by the end of April, according to NokiaPowerUser, citing their sources. The publication notes that Nokia would be hosting an event in India for the launch of its penta-camera smartphone. Furthermore, the report adds that the Nokia 9 PureView might come with a price tag of ₹46,999 in India.

To recall, Nokia 9 PureView made its debut at MWC 2019 on 25 February. Initially, the smartphone was made available in the U.S for $699. Later, the device made its way to European countries. Now, since the smartphone is reportedly coming to India soo, it can be expected to be made available to other Asian countries as well.

HMD Global has worked with Light to develop the imaging capabilities of the Nokia 9 PureView. HMD Global also partnered up with Qualcomm and Google to optimize the camera setup in order to fully utilize the Snapdragon 845 processor’s power and work well with Google Photos. The phone houses 5 rear cameras with Zeiss certified lenses, compromising of three 12-megapixel monochrome sensors and two 12-megapixel RGB sensors. Nokia 9 uses all of these sensors when clicking a photo and fuses the photos taken by all the five lenses into a single image. At the front, the phone has a 20-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling.

In terms of specifications, the phone comes with a 5.99-inch QHD+ POLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of unexpandable onboard storage. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC. The Nokia PureView is also IP67 certified for water and dust resistance and packs a USB Type-C port. There is no 3.5mm audio jack though. The phone is backed up by 3,320mAh battery with wireless charging support.
