There have been various rumors about the upcoming Nokia 9 PureView surfacing online for about 6 months now. Recently, HMD Global, which owns the Nokia brand, announced a release date of 24 February at MWC 2019. This was followed by a lot of renders popping online and showcasing the design of the smartphone and now a new render has leaked online highlighting a feature that was previously unknown.

According to the new leaks by 91Mobiles and OnLeaks, the device shows a penta camera set up at the back accompanied by an LED flash, which falls in line with rumors about the Nokia 9 Pureview having as much as five cameras at the back. Nevertheless, the render also shows the front of the device sporting an in-display fingerprint sensor, which would make the PureView Nokia’s first device to have an in-display fingerprint.

Another noticeable feature at the front of the device is that the device has a thick top and bottom bezels, which means Nokia is not going to resort to notches–at least not with its flagship. The Nokia 9 PureView has a single camera sensor at the front, according to the render.

The reports claim that this is an official render of the device, nevertheless, neither Nokia nor HMD Global has commented anything about the render.

The Nokia 9 PureView is expected to come with a 6-inch AMOLED QHD+ display which will include an in-display fingerprint sensor. Reportedly, the phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC instead of the newer chipset from Qualcomm.

The reports are suggesting that Nokia will launch a 5G version of the phone after the release of the original Nokia 9 PureView.

Recently, we reported about the Nokia 9 PureView passing through China’s 3C certification agency. The device was mentioned with model number TA-1094 and was also reported to bundle in an 18W quick charger.

The camera module on the phone compromises of five sensors with a main RGB sensor, a wide-angle sensor, telephoto, monochrome and a depth sensor.
