Nubia Red Magic 3, Nubia-α flexible smartwatch, and the Nubia Pods are slated to launch in India in May this year. The company will be expanding its portfolio in India with the launch of the aforementioned products. The company has not yet announced the Nubia Red Magic 3, however, the Nubia-α flexible smartwatch and the Nubia Pods were launched at MWC 2019.

The Nubia-α flexible smartwatch garnered much attention because of its flexible display that allows it to be worn around the wrist. Nubia Red Magic 3, on the other hand, is a third generation smartphone from its Red Magic gaming smartphone series. The company has now announced that it will be bringing both the devices along with Nubia Pods to India in May. Nubia has not revealed any specific date for the launch in India but has only confirmed the month. Pricing and availability of the products will be announced at the event.

As we mentioned above, the Nubia Red Magic 3 has not been announced yet, however, the key specifications of the device have recently been confirmed by general manager Nei Fi. The smartphone would come equipped with liquid and air cooling system to avoid overheating during intense gaming sessions. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, coupled with 12GB of RAM. The display panel on the device offers ‘higher refresh rate than most gaming PCs’. The smartphone would be backed up by a 3,800mAh battery and would include a new 4D vibration system that is touted to provide better haptic feedback during gaming.

The Nubia-α comes with an OLED flexible display, a camera, and e-SIM support. Nubia claims that the device comes with most features seen on Android phones. The smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. The Nubia-α runs on a custom OS and is backed up by a 500mAH battery.

The Nubia-α features a 4-inch flexible OLED display. According to the company, Nubia-α offers up to 230 percent more screen real state than typical smartwatches. The smartwatch can be strapped on the user’s wrists and lets users make or receive calls, use apps, and take photos. The smartwatch also comes integrated with various sensors including a heart rate sensor.

The Nubia-α will be made available in two variants: one Bluetooth version that could be paired with a smartphone and another with eSIM as a standalone device. The Black Bluetooth variant will be available in Europe and North America in April, and its average global price will be EUR449 (roughly ₹36,200). The eSIM variant, on the other hand, will be available in China starting from April for EUR549 (roughly ₹44,300) for the Black color option and 18K Gold variant will be priced around EUR649 (roughly ₹52,400).

Nubia also launched Nubia Pods, the company’s variant of true wireless headphones, at MWC. The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.0, Qualcomm aptX audio and AAC HD audio and is priced at  CNY 799 (roughly ₹8,200).
