Oculus Quest 2 has been revealed in a post published at Facebook’s Blueprint website. It shows a close view of the revised headset and controllers and other improvements across the board. The strap has been redesigned and the headset is shallower and lighter and the cameras are optimized for supporting hand tracking and gestures.

A large number of upgrades have been made to the processing power of the Oculus. The headset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855-based XR2 VR-optimized chipset. There is an improvement in the graphics and the 3D positional audio. It is mated to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage capacity.

The resolution has been bumped up to 2K per eye for a 4K immersive experience. The controllers have been upgraded with optimized ergonomics. The headset can play games in wireless mode through onboard processing and it can be connected to a PC for full-powered PC-based VR games. The launch date and pricing would be revealed soon by the company
