A welcoming page has been put up on the E-commerce website. This will mark its exclusivity on Amazon.in and will be sold only via the website.

OnePlus 6T was almost spotted on the advert by Mr. Bachchan during the India vs Pakistan match, Asia cup 2018.

Apart from this, a new leak has appeared online, claiming the OnePlus 6T camera setup will retain the dual camera sensor instead of going for a triple-sensor configuration. As, for what the sources, tend to reveal.

The Official TV Ad

The name OnePlus 6T was confirmed on the TV Ad aired during the India Vs. Pakistan, Asia Cup 2018. The ad featured Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, flaunting the smartphone, yet not unveiling the look of the smartphone. Mr. Bachchan also used few of the new and old taglines to specify how amazing the successor of the OnePlus 6 will be. He used these slogans to allude to the specified highlights of the smartphone. The in-display fingerprint sensor, calling it “a cooler way to unlock your phone.” He also says, “The new OnePlus 6T is coming.”

Two slogans were highlighted in the advertisement, ‘Touch for innovation’ and ‘Ready for speed’ – both indicating the faster unlocking with the in-display fingerprint sensor of the smartphone.

The Tipster letting out what he knows

Lastly, a report by a very reputed tech tipster Roland Quandt lets the world knows that the new “6T” won’t be sporting the Triple camera setup as what the last news reports claimed to.

Sticking to last year’s flagship smartphone’s looks it will sport the same dual lens camera setup. A rendered image shared in the story shows the smartphone to boast a Mirror Finish. Featuring the in-display fingerprint scanner, the rear fingerprint sensor is removed. It is also claimed the internals will be rearranged with the new model, with the noise-canceling microphone moved from the right edge to the left and the Power button is also being moved downwards.

The report also states that the new phone will be a little bigger (taller) in size compared to the current model and may feature a 6.41-inch display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2340×1080-pixel resolution.

Stating the facts

The new flagship will feature minor upgrades, unlike the previous news report. The OnePlus 6T will stand against the premium flagships from other companies. Standing against iPhone’s new X line-up & competing against the Note 9 from Samsung and other premium smartphones as well.

What to be Expected?

The phone was speculated to sport a water-drop notch, with 8GB of RAM & 128 GB/256 GB as storage. As for the processor, it is said to be featuring either the Snapdragon 845 SoC or the Snapdragon 710 Soc (seems a downgrade in the processing).

The smartphone is likely to launch mid-October and carry a price tag of around $550 (about ₹40,000).
