The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are both now officially launched, despite the outbreak COVID-19 pandemic which is disturbing the tech industry. These two smartphones arrive with several improvements in camera, display, battery and performance. So, let’s take a look into the new OnePlus 8 series
One Plus 8 Pro Specs:
Display
One plus 8 pro comes with 3 colors- Glacial green, Ultramarine blue and Onyx black. The dimension of One plus 8 pro as follows: 165.mm in height, 74.3mm in width, 8.5mm in thickness and weighs 199g which is quite lighter than 7 pro. It has display of 6.78 inches which is quite bigger than one plus 7 pro. The aspect ratio is 19:8:9 with AMOLED screen which has 3D corning gorilla glass. The phone also has 240Hz touch sampling rate and the QHD+ resolution supports the 120Hz refresh rate.
Performance
One plus 8 pro is powered by Qualcomm snapdragon 865 with 5G support. It runs with OxygenOS based on Android 10. The device has 4,510 mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge 30T with Wireless technology, which is a first on any OnePlus device. It has two RAM and storage variants 8GB/12GB) and 128GB/256GB(UFS-Universal flash storage) respectively.
Camera
The device comes with 4 camera sensors at the back. The main camera has 48MP with an aperture size of 1.78 and has sony IMX689 sensors. This device also allows you to capture better audio and uses software to reduce wind noise. It supports 4k, 1080p and 720p video recording at 30/60fps also has a video editor feature. It also has 3HDR technology which senses light better while recording a video. The main camera has OIS(optical image stabilization) and EIS(electronic image stabilization) technology for video stabilization. The Telephoto lens has 8MP camera with 2.44 aperture size with OIS support. Ultra Wide Angle lens comes with 48MP with 2.2 aperture size and has a Field view of 120 degrees. The last lens is Color Filter Lens comes with 5MP and has an aperture size of 2.4. The color filter lens is for color enhancement.
The cameras also support features such as CINE aspect ratio video recording, Video HDR, Nightscape, Super Micro, Portrait, Pro Mode, Panorama, AI Scene Detection, RAW Image, Audio Zoom, Audio 3D and Smart Pet Capture.
The OnePlus 8 Pro removes the pop-up selfie camera which was there on the OnePlus 7 and 7T Pro and replaces it with a punch-hole notch. The front camera comes with 16MP and has an aperture size of 2.45 which also supports EIS and one can shoot a video of 1080p at 30fps.

The OnePlus 8 Pro is priced at USD 899 for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at USD 999.

It has a display of 6.55 inches which is quite bigger than one plus 7. The aspect ratio is 20:9 with AMOLED screen which has 3D corning gorilla glass. The phone’s refresh rate is restricted to 90Hz.

The One plus 8 gets same chipset, RAM and storage variants which is there on One plus 8pro. It also supports a wide range of sensors but less than 8 pro. It has In-display Fingerprint Sensor, Accelerometer, Electronic Compass, Gyroscope, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Sensor Core. The device has 4,300 mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge 30T with fast charging support.

It supports 4k, 1080p and 720p video recording at 30/60fps also has a video editor feature. The main camera has OIS(optical image stabilization) and EIS(electronic image stabilization) technology for video stabilization. The Macro lens has a 2MP camera with a 2.4 aperture size. Ultra Wide Angle lens comes with 16MP with 2.2 aperture size and has a Field view of 116 degrees. It has no color filter lens and a telephoto lens.

One plus has not yet released sale date in India. However, it is already available for pre-order in Europe countries and sale starts from April 21. In Canada and United States sale starts from April 29.
