According to reports, One Plus has been working on an entry-level phone named ‘Clover’. It could soon hit the market.
One Plus is one of the big boys of the smartphone industry when it comes to premium and higher-end devices. It started as a company that provided smartphones in the mid-range. But with time, One Plus device’s cost kept on increasing and it was no longer a budget section phone company.
This year though, One Plus came back in the $450 and $600 market with their new One Plus ‘Nord’. Nord is a success. The sales are very good and One Plus’s brand name is enough now to sell their phones.
Now One Plus is aiming for a lower market, where mostly 2/3rd of the market is. The $200 to $400 range. That is where companies like Xiaomi, Oppo, etc are ruling and making a lot of money.
One Plus Clover is expected to be around $200. This will be a proper entry-level device. No 12 GB RAM, no latest Snapdragon SOC, and other high-end stuff.
At this price, One Plus will give you Snapdragon 460 SoC, 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 6.52 inch IPS LCD display. The 6000 mAh battery will be very good with the processor because it is not your high end one.
Earlier this month a phone named One Plus Clover surfaced on Geekbench but it had a Snapdragon 660 SoC. So maybe we could have two variants with a price gap. If the phones do arrive in the Indian market, the expected price could be between Rs16,000- Rs18,000.
This is the best which One Plus will give you that price. Well, Xiaomi and other Chinese brands do provide better specs in this range but One Plus is One Plus. No OS can match the Oxygen OS for me.
