Oppo is gearing up to launch two new smartphones in India–the Oppo A1K and Oppo A5s. The Oppo A1K is reported to be a budget smartphone with MediaTek Helio P22 SoC onboard coupled with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone is also tipped to feature a 4,000mAh battery and will reportedly run on Android Pie with ColorOS 6.0 on top. Oppo A5s, on the other hand, has reportedly received BIS certificate, which means the device may soon debut in India.

The Oppo A1K is reported to be a budget smartphone and is expected to launch in India soon. It is reported to feature a 6-inch or higher display with waterdrop notch, although the resolution of the panel has not been revealed. The Oppo A1K will reportedly be powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC clocked at 2.0GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The launch will mark the first device from Oppo to come with the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC.

The alleged specifications of the A1K comes as a courtesy of MySmartPrice. The website has also claimed that the device will feature a single rear camera, but there is no word on the megapixel count. Moreover, the Oppo A1K will be available in a single RAM/storage variant and will hit the market in Red and Blue color options. It is also tipped to be fueled by a 4000mAh battery and is reported to run ColorOS 6.0 on top of Android 9.0 Pie.

As for the Oppo A5s, the specifications of the device were leaked online earlier this month. Now, the device has passed the BIS certification, which means the launch of the device is imminent in India. The offering’s BIS certification was spotted by MySmartPrice, which also reported about the Oppo A5s’ NBTC certification in Thailand.

Oppo A5s will reportedly be a refreshed version of the A5s that was launched in India last month. The rumored specifications of the device share some similarities with the Oppo A7, such as identical rear camera setup and display. The Oppo A1K will reportedly feature a 6.2-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) display with a waterdrop notch and will be powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. The smartphone will be launched in 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB of RAM configuration coupled with 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage. The storage on the device can further be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.

The Oppo A5s is reported to feature a dual-rear camera setup compromising of a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. At the front, the smartphone is reported to have an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. It will run ColorOS 5.2 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. The Oppo A5s might be available in Red, Black, Gold, and Green color options. There is no word as to the specific release date and pricing of the devices in India as of now.
