Oppo has slashed ₹6000 of its R17 Pro smartphone in India. The device was launched in India with a price tag of ₹45,990. It comes bundled with Super VOOC Flash Charge charging support that is touted to charge the device up to 40 percent in 10 minutes. The device has a 6.4-inch full-HD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and includes a 32-megapixel selfie camera along with a triple camera module at the back. Additionally, the Oppo R17 Pro comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. 

After the price cut, the device is now available in India at ₹39,990 through Amazon. The e-commerce website has already listed the device at the revised price and is offering exchange discounts of up to ₹13,400. It is unclear, however, if the device will be available at a discounted price at offline retail sites as well.

The phone comes in Emerald Green and Radiant Mist color options.

In terms of specifications, the device comes with a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) AMOLED display with a waterdrop-style notch and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.2 on top.

At the imaging department, the Oppo R17 Pro houses triple rear camera unit at the back compromising of a 12-megapixel primary sensor with a variable aperture from f/1.5 to f/2.4, a 20-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.6 aperture, and a tertiary  TOF 3D stereo camera. The camera on the device comes with features like optical image stabilization (OIS), Dual Pixel PDAF, and an Ultra Night Mode. At the front, the device has a 25-megapixel camera sensor with an f/2.0 lens and AI Beauty Camera beautification.

The Oppo R17 comes with 128GB onboard storage that is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. Connectivity options on the new model include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C (v3.1) with OTG functionality, and NFC. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.

The Oppo R17 Pro is backed up by a 3700mAh battery with Super VOOC Flash Charge tech (10V/ 5A, up to 50W), which with a bi-cell design (2×1,850mAh) is said to deliver 40 percent charge with 10 minutes of charging.
