Oppo Reno 5A has been launched in Japan. The smartphone is the latest addition to Oppo Reno 5 Series. The device is powered by Snapdragon 765G SoC and features a 90Hz fast refresh rate display. It ships with IP68-rating and a quad-camera setup at the rear. It can record videos simultaneously from front and rear cameras.

Oppo Reno 5A Specifications

Oppo Reno 5A is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G octa-core chipset, coupled with Qualcomm Adreno 620 GPU. The processor is backed by 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The storage on the device can be further expanded via a microSD card up to 1TB. The smartphone runs on Android 11 out-of-the-box with ColorOS 11 on top.

Coming to the display, the device features a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ LTPS display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels and a 90Hz fast refresh rate. The display has an aspect ratio of 20:9, a touch sampling rate of 180Hz, and 405ppi pixel density. The display has thin bezels on the edges and a slightly thicker bezel at the chin. It also carries a punch-hole at the top left corner for the front camera.

As far as the camera is concerned, it sports a quad-camera setup at the rear with a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.7 lens, an 8MP sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, and two 2MP sensors with f/2.4 aperture for monochrome and macro shots. Upfront, a 16MP sensor with an f/1.6 lens is placed under the punch-hole for selfies and video calls.

The mobile phone packs a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It ships with IP68-rating for dust and water resistance and carries a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging. It weighs 182 grams.

Oppo Reno 5A Price

Oppo Reno 5A will be offered in two color schemes- Ice Blue and Silver Black. Oppo has not revealed the pricing details of the smartphone. It will be up for grabs in Japan from June. The international availability of the device is yet to be announced by the company.

Considering the specs, it will rival OnePlus Nord 5G, which is powered by the same Snapdragon 765G chipset and features a 90Hz AMOLED display, a 48MP quad-camera setup, and a 4,115mAh battery with fast charging, priced at Rs. 29,999 for the 8GB RAM variant.
