Oppo Reno 6, Reno 6 Pro, Reno 6 Pro+ announced in China with 90Hz AMOLED, 65W fast charging: Check price and specs

Oppo has launched Oppo Reno 6 Series- Reno 6, Reno 6 Pro, and Reno 6 Pro+ in China. The smartphone series is the successor to last year’s Oppo Reno 5 Series. Oppo Reno 6 and 6 Pro are powered by MediaTek Dimensity processors, whereas, Reno 6 Pro+ is powered by a Snapdragon 870 SoC. All three smartphones come with 65W fast charging and a punch-hole on the AMOLED display for the front camera.

Oppo Reno 6 Specifications

Oppo Reno 6 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G chipset, paired with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. The processor is backed by up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 11-based Oppo’s custom ColorOS 11.3 UI.

Coming to the display, the device features a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a 90Hz fast refresh rate. It has very thin bezels on the edges and carries a punch-hole at the top left corner of the display for the front camera. An in-display fingerprint scanner is built into the display. 

As for the cameras, the phone sports a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP sensor for ultra-wide-angle shots, and a 2MP sensor for macro shots. At the front, a 32MP selfie snapper is placed under the punch-hole. The mobile phone carries a 4,300mAh battery with 65W Super VOOC 2.0 fast charging support. It has flat frames for boxier looks as compared to the Pro models and weighs 182 grams.

Oppo Reno 6 Price

Oppo Reno 6 is offered in two storage configurations. It is priced at CNY 2,799 (Rs. 31,800) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model and CNY 3,199 (Rs. 36,400) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option in China.

Oppo Reno 6 Pro Specifications

Oppo Reno 6 Pro draws power from MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G SoC, paired with ARM Mali G77 MC9 GPU. The CPU is backed by up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 11 with ColorOS 11.3 on top.

The device sports a slightly bigger display as compared to Reno 6. It has a 6.55-inch Full–HD+ AMOLED display with 1,080 x 2,400 pixels resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display has curved edges and carries a punch-hole at the top left corner that houses a 32MP selfie snapper. The rear camera module is the same as the vanilla Oppo Reno 6.

The mobile phone packs a larger 4,500mAh battery with 65W Super VOOC 2.0 fast charging technology. It ships with an in-display fingerprint scanner and weighs 177 grams.

Oppo Reno 6 Pro Price

Oppo Reno 6 Pro is also offered in the same storage configurations. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced in China at CNY 3,499 (Rs. 39,800) while, the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option costs CNY 3,799 (Rs. 43,200).

Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G CPU, coupled with Qualcomm Adreno 650 GPU. The CPU s backed by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 11-based Color OS 11.3 UI.

The display on the device is the same as the Oppo Reno 6 Pro. However, the top-end Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ features a quad-camera setup at the rear as compared to other models in the lineup. The quad-camera module consists of a 50MP primary Sony IMX766 sensor, a 16MP sensor with ultra-wide-angle lens, a 13MP sensor with a telephoto lens capable of 2x optical zoom, and a 2MP sensor for macro shots. Upfront, a 32MP sensor is placed under the punch-hole for selfies and video calls.

The mobile phone carries a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. An in-display fingerprint scanner is built into the display. The device weighs 188 grams.

Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ Price

The premium device of the lot, Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ is also offered in two storage configurations. It is priced at CNY 3,999 (Rs. 45,500) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option and CNY 4,499 (Rs. 51,200) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant in China.

All three smartphones are already up for pre-orders in China. Oppo has not revealed any details regarding the international availability of smartphones.
