Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition have been made official in China. Both the devices come with panoramic AMOLED display along with sixth-generation Gorilla Glass protection. The company has also included pop-up selfie camera that swings out from the top in 0.8 seconds and includes the earpiece, front soft light, and rear LED flash along with the selfie camera. The Oppo 10x Zoom Edition comes with a triple camera module which includes a periscope telephoto lens that enables 10x optical zoom. Oppo has released the Reno series with imaging in focus and provides features such as multi-frame noise reduction, HDR support, and hand-held anti-shake with its new smartphone series. Moreover, the Oppo Reno 5G variant was also announced at the event.

Oppo Reno, Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition price

The Oppo Reno in China is priced at CNY 2,999 (roughly ₹30,900) for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant, while its 6GB RAM/256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,299 (roughly ₹34,000). Lastly, the 8GB RAM/256GB variant of the Oppo Reno is priced at CNY 3,599 (roughly ₹37,100). The phone will go on sale in China starting from April 19 and will be made available in Night Black, Fog Sea Green, Mist Powder, and Nebula Purple color options.

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition, on the other hand, has been priced at  CNY 3,999 (roughly ₹41,200) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration. There is also a 6GB RAM/256GB storage variant priced at 4,499 (roughly ₹46,400), while the 8GB RAM/256GB variant of the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition is priced at CNY 4,799 (roughly ₹49,500). The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition will go on sale in China in mid-May and will be made available in Extreme Night Black and Fog Sea Green color options.

Oppo also teased a 5G variant of the Oppo Reno at the launch event, however, its development is said to begin next month.

Oppo has not revealed the global release and pricing of the smartphones, nevertheless, an event is supposed to take place in Zurich, Switzerland, where the company is expected to release the smartphone globally.

Both the Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10z Zoom Edition run on Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6 on top. The custom skin from Oppo comes with Breeno Assistant with features including screen and voice recognition and multi-modal interactions. Moreover, Oppo has also provided Hi-res Dolby Atoms support and Game Boost 2.0 acceleration engine with Frame Boost and Touch Boost accelerations to make the mobile gaming experience more optimized.

Both the smartphones come encased in 3D curved glass and have no camera bumps. Oppo has provided an O-Dot ceramic point at the back of the device to slight left the camera when placed on a flat surface. This will help protect the lens to some extent. Moreover, both the devices come with the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Oppo Reno comes with a  6.4-inch full-HD+ panoramic AMOLED display with 93.1 percent screen to bod ratio and Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The panel comes with  TUV Rheinland certification and supports DCI-P3 color gamut. The Oppo Reno is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 6GB and 8GB of RAM.

In the imaging department, the Oppo Reno comes with dual-rear camera compromising of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. At the front, the device has an iconic side swing 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 lens.

The Oppo Reno has 128GB and 256GB of storage options available. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and a USB Type-C port, while it is backed up by a 3,765mAh battery.

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition, on the other hand, comes with a  6.6-inch panoramic AMOLED display. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with 6GB and 8GB of RAM.

In terms of optics, the Oppo 10x Zoom Edition comes with a triple camera setup compromising of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor along with an f/1.7 lens, a  13-megapixel secondary sensor with a periscope telephoto lens on top and an 8-megapixel tertiary sensor with a super wide-angle lens.

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition comes in 128GB and 256GB storage options. Connectivity options on the device include  4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Besides, the phone packs a 4,065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 support.
