Poco F1 has now started receiving MIUI 10.2.2.0 Global Stable update which brings 960-fps slo-mo mode to the device. The update also includes enhanced low-light mode. Xiaomi has recently updated Poco F1 to Android Pie 9.0 via the MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM. The new software update was revealed by C Manmohan, who is Poco India’s General Manager.

The executive took on Twitter to reveal about the two prominent upcoming features—960-fps slow motion recording and enhanced low-light photography, on the Poco F1 in coming two weeks.

The information about the upcoming MIUI 10.2.2.0 update was posted on MIUI forum stating that the official Global Stable update is now rolling out for the Poco F1 devices. The update carries build V10.2.2.0.PEJMIXM and is 311MB in size.

One of the key features in the upcoming update is the 960-fps slow motion recording. This new option will slide into the Pocos’s existing ability to shoot 120-fps and 240-fps slow motion video recording support.

Poco Global Head, Alvin Tse, also confirmed the updates through his official Twitter account saying the new update brings stable build with security patch and fixes a lot of bugs.

C Manmohan had already revealed the developments last week saying the new update would optimize reported battery draining issues and touch issues.

Xiaomi is also expected to introduce 60-fps support for 4K video recording in February, as C Manmohan mentioned in his tweet last week.

The executive also highlighted plans to provided Widevine L1 certification. However, he didn’t mention any specific date.
