Poco recently announced the POCO X3 smartphone in India. It is known as POCO X3 NFC in global markets and simply as POCO X3 in India as it doesn’t have NFC connectivity. The General Manager of Poco India, C Manmohan recently stated that the removal of NFC feature allowed the company to provide a larger battery on the Indian version of POCO X3.

The global version of POCO X3 has a 5,160mAh battery and the Indian version has a 6,000mAh battery. C Manmohan said in an interview with 91mobiles that the company dropped the NFC feature from the Indian version as it is not so important feature for Indian audience. As UPI and QR code-based payments are used more than the contactless payments by NFC in India, removing the feature helped the firm to provide a 16% larger battery on the Indian version of POCO X3.

POCO X3 will be available for purchase on 29th September at 12pm IST. In terms of specifications, POCO X3 comes with a 6.67-inch 120Hz IPS LCD FHD+ display with a punch-hole design. It has a rear quad-camera setup of 64-megapixel (Sony IMX682), 13-megapixel (ultrawide), 2-megapixel (macro), 2-megapixel depth and a 20-megapixel front camera for selfies.
