Oppo sub-brand Realme has managed to amass much popularity in India because of its budget smartphone line-up. Since its inception, the company has pumped out 5 smartphones and is widely being speculated to be working on its next smartphone.

Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has teased the company’s next smartphone in Bollywood style. Various websites have reported on a portion of a music video where Sheth can be seen dancing with the rappers from the movie Gully Boy. Sheth can clearly be seen teasing that the upcoming smartphone from Realme would be the Realme 3.

The Realme 3 is expected to come with better specifications than its predecessor. To recall, the Realme 2 was launched in India last year with a starting price of ₹13,990 and has since been subjected to a price cut, making the device available for ₹12,990 for the base variant. The top variant of the device is currently on sale for ₹14,990.

In terms of specification, the Realme 2 comes with a 6.2-inch (720x1520pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, and a notch at the top. The device is powered Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC coupled with up to 4GB of RAM, and up to 128GB internal storage.

At the camera front, the device packs a dual camera setup at the back with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. At the front, the Realme 2 has an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.  For security, there’s a fingerprint sensor at the back, and support for face unlock feature.

The device is fueled by a 4230mAh battery and on the software front, the device was launched with Android Oreo wrapped under Color OS 5.2.
