Realme, the sub-brand from Oppo, recently announced that it sold 4 million smartphones since its existence on May 2018. The company has launched 5 high-performance smartphones under budget since its inception. To celebrate this milestone, Realme has announced Realme Yo days from January 7 that will last two days.
Realme will also be launching its backpack priced at ₹2,399 on January 7. As a part of the celebration, Realme will make the backpacks available at 1 rupee for the first 300 orders starting from January 7. Apart from that, Realme will also launch its Fiery Gold version of U1 on the same date.
On purchase of the Fiery Gold U1 version, Realme will include Realme buds. The Realme 2 will also be available on an open sale from January 7 to 9. The devices will be available through Realme website and Amazon. Other popular Realme phones like Real C1, Realme 2 Pro and Realme U1 will also be available on an open sale on Realme Yo days. The Realme buds that have been priced at ₹499 will also go on sale on the mentioned date.
According to the reports, Realme will also be launching its new smartphone Realme A1. The device will specifically be targeted at budget customers with its expected price tag of ₹10,000. U1 is expected to be powered by MediaTek Helio P60 SoC and is said to have a waterdrop notch with 6.2-inch IPS LCD screen. The device will house a 13-megapixel primary coupled with a 2-megapixel secondary camera. The front camera will be an 8-megapixel sensor. Realme U1 is expected to be launched in Q1 2019 in India.
Realme is also looking forward to expanding its position in India. The company has recently announced that it will be partnering up with offline retailers in 150 cities in 2019. The partnership is to be called REAL partners and will add value to customer services.
