The Indian smartphone market, in the price segment Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000, is a bit crowded as plenty of options are available in this segment. However, the top contenders in this price segment are Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Max and Realme X7. Here’s a comparison between the two smartphones, considering various aspects of the smartphones.

Price

The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max price starts from Rs. 18,999 and the Realme X7 5G starts from Rs. 19,999.

Performance

The Realme X7 features a MediaTek Dimenity 800U 5G chipset, on the other hand, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chipset, which is a 4G chipset. If we compare the AnTuTu scores of the two chipsets, Dimesity 800U leads with a score of 3,20,000, whereas, Snapdragon 732G manages to score 2,80,000. The Dimensity 800U chipset is also expected to be a power-efficient chipset as it is based on a 7nm technology.

This clearly shows that Realme X7 is expected to offer better performance as compared to Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.

Camera

The Redmi Note 10 Pro max offers a quad-camera setup at the rear with a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Realme X7 features a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens.

Redmi Note 10 Pro Max

Redmi Note 10 Pro Max’s 108MP quad-camera setup seems to be winning here against the triple-camera setup offered in Realme X7.

Battery

Things are a bit complicated here. Realme X7 packs a 4,310mAh battery with 50W SuperDart fast-charging technology, which the company claims can fully charge the device in 47 minutes. On the other hand, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max carries a massive 5,020mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support.

There is no clear winner in this aspect, however, because of the 50W fast-charging, Realme X7 has an edge over Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.

Display and Build Quality

Redmi Note 10 Pro Max boasts a 6.67-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 as compared to Realme X7’s 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 60Hz refresh rate. Redmi Note 10 Pro Max offers a better display unit than the Realme X7’s display.

Redmi Note 10 Pro Max features a glass back as compared to Realme X7’s plastic back. The glass back offers a better in-hand feel but it adds to the weight of the device.

User Interface(UI)

Realme X7 5G

The biggest drawback of Xiaomi phones is the MIUI. The same MIUI is offered in Redmi Note 10 Pro Max with ads, which downgrades the user experience. The Realme X7’s UI features no ads and hence, the winner in this aspect.

Miscellaneous

Redmi Note 10 Pro Max features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, whereas, Realme X7 sports an in-display fingerprint scanner. The 3.5mm headphone jack is present in Redmi Note 10 and absent in Realme X7.

There is no clear winner between the two smartphones. The 5G connectivity offered in Realme X7 gives it an edge over the other smartphone. Users should rely on their needs and the different features offered by the smartphones before buying any of the above smartphones.
