Redmi India has confirmed the Indian launch of the Redmi Note 10S via Twitter. The phone is set to hit the Indian market on May 13 via a virtual event. The smartphone was unveiled globally in March and now it will enter the Indian smartphone market. The Indian variant is expected to feature the same specifications as the global variant.

Redmi India took to its Twitter account and revealed the launch date of Redmi note 10S. A special “#LaunchFromHome event” has been organized by Xiaomi for the new smartphone that will be streamed on the official channel of Xiaomi on YouTube and social media sites.

The latest Redmi Note 10S will join Redmi Note 10 series, which was quite a hit in the Indian market.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S Expected Specifications

The Indian variant of the Redmi Note 10S is expected to be the same as the global variant. In that case, the Redmi Note 10S will be powered by MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. The storage on the device can be expanded via a microSD card up to 512GB. The smartphone runs on Android 11 out-of-the-box with Xiaomi’s custom MIUI 12.5 on top.

Coming to the display, the device will sport a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The display has an aspect ratio of 20:9, a peak brightness of 1,100 nits, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It carries a center-aligned punch-hole for the front camera.

As for the cameras, the phone boasts a quad-camera setup at the rear with a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens, an 8MP sensor for ultra-wide-angle shots with 118-degrees field-of-view and f/2.2 aperture, and two 2MP sensors with f/2.4 aperture for macro shots and depth sensing. At the front, a 13MP sensor is placed under the punch-hole for selfies and video calls.

The mobile phone will pack a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The device ships with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP52-rating for dust and water resistance, an IR blaster, and Hi-Res Audio. Connectivity options like 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging. It weighs 178.8 grams.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S Expected Price

Redmi India, via a tweet, revealed that the upcoming Redmi Note 10S will be offered in three color variants- Blue, Dark Grey, and White. The smartphone is expected to come with several storage configurations- 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage.

The device is expected to be priced around the price range of the Redmi Note 10 series in India. It could start from Rs. 12,000 in India considering an improvement in the camera department.
