Realme 3 Pro is only a few days away from release and one of the features that are being touted by the company for the smartphone is its ability to run the battle royale game Fortnite. Its closest competitor Redmi Note 7 Pro does not support the game and Realme is using that as a marketing strategy to lure in more customers. However, that seems to be changing soon.
It would be safe to assume that Xiaomi feels threatened by the Realme 3 Pro, or at least so has been made apparent by Xiaomi India head, Manu Kumar Jain’s tweet.
Recently a brand has started talking about Qualcomm SD 710.
Here's the thruth: it's a one year old processor! We launched a phone with SD 710 (globally) in Q2 2018.
SD 675 is the latest one: 16% faster than SD 710!! Check out Antutu scores.#WhyLaunch1YearOld? RT if you agree. pic.twitter.com/avhrMbgq4n

The brand Jain is referring to in his tweet is Realme and the Realme 3 is the smartphone that will have “one-year-old” Snapdragon 710 processor. However, to be fair, it all started with the tweet made by Realme where they indirectly took a jibe at Redmi Note 7 Pro for not supporting Fortnite.
How about playing #Fortnite on #realme3Pro? I believe #realme3Pro will be the 1st in its segment that can directly support it. Tried to play this game on some latest "Pro" devices but none of them could manage. When it comes to speed, chipset matters.

Anyway, according to Jain, Redmi Note 7 Pro users will soon be able to play Fortnite on their smartphones. The reason Redmi Note 7 Pro does not support the game is because its processor–Qualcomm Snapdragon 675, is not available in the U.S yet. Since Epic Game, the developers of Fortnite, is a US-based company, they have not been able to test and certify the processor for the game yet.
SD 675 is a new chip & isn't available in USA (Fortnite's primary market) yet. Hence, unlike some old processors, it hasn't been whitelisted.

The Snapdragon 710 SoC is the processor on Nokia 8.1 which is available in the U.S market made it possible for Epic Games to test the processor. Which is why Realme 3 is able to support the game since it is coming with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 under the hood. Xiaomi is already working with Qualcomm and Epic Games to have the Redmi Note 7 Pro certified. As soon as it is completed, Redmi Note 7 Pro users will be able to enjoy the game as well.
