Redmi has got the MIIT certification for its first-ever smartwatch.
Xiaomi launched its first-ever smartwatch called Mi watch in China last year. Now its sub-brand Redmi is all set to launch its first-ever smartwatch. There is no confirmed name yet to the device. Its model number is REDMIWT01.
One good news is that it has been certified by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Redmi does have its smart bands but no smartwatch. Oppo has entered the smartwatch race, so Redmi’s watch will be in the market to challenge Oppo’s smartwatch in terms of prices.
The tipster says that this smartwatch will be launching in October with great battery life. Hence, we don’t expect it to run the Android Wear operating system as it is not known for good battery performance. So we may see Mi’s own OS in this watch.
This watch is expected to launch in late October in China, by the name Mi Watch Color. It could be named as Mi Watch Revolve in India.
