Samsung launched the Galaxy A80 back in August 2019, now the successor is expected to be launched soon. A device, with model number SM-A826S from Samsung, was spotted on Geekbench, a benchmarking website, revealing certain specifications. This device is expected to be Galaxy A82.

The model number, SM-A826S, suggests that the device is Samsung Galaxy A82. As per the listing, the device is powered by ‘msmnile’. This code name is usually associated with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and Snapdragon 855 plus SoCs. The device managed to score 755 in single-core performance and 2630 in multi-core performance.

The device will run on Android 11 out-of-the-box and like other Samsung devices, it is expected to feature One UI 3.0 on-top. The device tested has 6GB RAM, however, other RAM options might be available after launch.

The source code of the Geekbench site revealed that Galaxy A82 features Adreno 640 GPU and the chipset is clocked at 2.96GHz, which clarifies that the device is powered by Snapdragon 855+ SoC. This also reveals that the device will come with 5G connectivity.

The Galaxy A80 featured a fancy sliding camera. However, there has been no report regarding the camera specifications of the upcoming Galaxy A82 smartphone. Galaxy A80 featured Snapdragon 730G processor, a 3,700mAh battery, and the 8GB RAM variant was priced at Rs. 32,199. The upcoming Galaxy A82 is expected to be priced higher as compared to the predecessor because of the 5G support.

We have to wait for the official launch of the device for further specifications and pricing details, however, the Geekbench listing confirms the launch is imminent and is expected any time soon.
