Samsung Galaxy A9(2018) has been subjected to a price cut in India. The smartphone was originally priced at ₹36,990 for the 6GB variant, and soon after its launch in India, the device received a price cut bringing the price down to ₹33,990.

Now, the device has once again received a price cut in India. The Samsung Galaxy A9(2018) is now available in India for a price tag of ₹30,990 for the 6GB variant, while the 8GB variant of the device will be available for ₹33,990. The new prices have already been updated on Samsun’s online store.

The Galaxy A9(2018) was the first phone from Samsung to feature a quad-camera setup on the back. The sensors on the setup compromise of a standard sensor, wide-angle sensor, telephoto sensor, and a depth sensor.

In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A9(2018) comes with a 6.3-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2220×1080 pixels. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and Adreno 512 GPU. The device comes with 6GB or 8GB RAM variant options with 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage which can be expanded further using a microSD card.

The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with the company’s custom Experience UX skin on top. The battery on the device is 3,800mAH.

As for the camera front, the device packs quad-camera setup at the back with a 24MP primary sensor, 10MP telephoto sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, it sports a 24MP sensor for taking selfies.

The new prices come a few days before Samsung’s Unpacked event where the company is expected to unveil its next Galaxy S-series lineup along with a foldable phone, dubbed as Galaxy F. The Galaxy S10-series launch is set on February 20 at San Francisco. The launch event will also mark 10 years of the Galaxy smartphones from Samsung.
