Samsung Galaxy M30

Samsung has confirmed on Monday that it will launch the Galaxy M30 on February 27. The company also mentioned that unlike the Galaxy M10 and the Galaxy M20, both of which feature an Infinity V display, the Galaxy M30 will come with an Infinity U display. The display on the Galaxy M30 will also be an AMOLED panel, unlike the LCD panels on its counterparts.

Samsung took on Twitter to reveal the launch date of the Galaxy M30 in India. The launch is set for 6 P.M IST on February 27, which is, notably, just a day before Xiaomi will launch its Redmi Note 7 in India.

Samsung also specifies in the tweet that the Galaxy M30 will come with a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED panel featuring the Infinity-U Display design. The panel will be an upgrade to the LCD panels that the Galaxy M10 and the Galaxy M20 ship with.

The Galaxy M30 had been speculated to come with a triple camera module and an official render posted along with the tweet confirms the same. The device is expected to be made available through Amazon and Samsung India e-store.

In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy M30 is expected to feature Exynos 7904, which is seen on the M20, which uses two Cortex A73 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and six Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.6GHz. The device will feature a triple camera module with a 13-megapixel f/1.9 primary sensor, a 5-megapixel f/2.2 secondary wide-sensor, and a third 5-megapixel f/2.2 depth sensor. At the front, the phone is expected to feature a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7940 SoC, the device will come with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage options. The storage on the Galaxy M30 would be expandable using a microSD card. Moreover, it will pack a powerful 5000mAh battery.

Connectivity options on the Galaxy M30 could include dual-SIM card slots, Bluetooth, 4G with VoLTE, and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.

According to an IANS report last week, Samsung is expected to price the Galaxy M30 at ₹15,000. The device will likely go on sale in the first week of March.
