Samsung recently launched its budget smartphone Galaxy M12 in India. The smartphone features a quad-camera setup at the rear and carries a 6,000mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy M12 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy M12 is powered by Samsung Exynos 850 SoC, which is pretty decent considering the budget nature of the smartphone and is paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The storage of the device can be expanded using a microSD card. The device runs on Android-based One UI 3.0, The One UI from Samsung offers a near-stock Android experience with required improvements.

The smartphone features a 6.5-inch HD+TFT Infinity-V display with 720×1,600 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display features a waterdrop-style notch for the front camera.

Samsung Galaxy M12 comes with a quad-camera rectangular setup at the rear with a 48MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 123-degree field of view, and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro shots. Upfront, an 8MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture is placed under the notch.

The device carries a whopping 6,000mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver 58 hours of talk time on a 4G network. The mobile phone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB Type-C for charging, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Samsung Galaxy M12 Colour Options

The smartphone is offered in three color options- Attractive Black, Elegant Blue, and Trendy Emerald Green. The 4GB+64GB storage option costs Rs. 10,999 and the 6GB+128GB storage option costs Rs. 13,499. The phone will be sold via Samsung’s website, Amazon, and selected retail stores, and the sale will go live on March 18.

Considering the price range of the smartphone it will compete with Xiaomi Redmi Note 10, which offers an FHD+ AMOLED display, powered by Snapdragon 678 chipset, and a quad-camera setup at the rear with a similar configuration as Galaxy M12, priced at Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB+64GB storage variant. The Redmi Note 10 seems to be ahead of Galaxy M12, taking the price and specification of both smartphones.
