Vivo V15

Vivo V15 has been officially unveiled days after Vivo launched the V15 Pro in India. Similar to the Vivo V15 Pro, the V15 features a pop-up selfie camera as well. The smartphone also comes with 6GB of RAM and a triple rear camera module. Nevertheless, unlike V15 Pro, which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 675, the V15 features MediaTek Helio P70 under the hood. The new device has also ditched in-display fingerprint sensor for the traditional rear-mounted scanner. Vivo has launched the new phone in Thailand and Malaysia market and is expected to launch it in India soon.

The Vivo V15 price in Thailand has been set at THB 10,999 (roughly 24,500). The phone comes in Topaz Blue and Glamour Red color options with gradient finish. The availability of the device in Thailand, however, has not been announced yet. The phone has also been listed in Malaysia without any availability or price details. Further, some previous reports have speculated the launch of the Vivo V15 in India. Vivo has also included the V15 in its V15 Pro promotional posters suggesting the release of the device in India.

The Vivo V15 Pro was launched in India last week with a price tag of ₹28,990 for the lone 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.

In terms of specifications, the Vivo V15 features a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080×2340. The device runs Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box with FunTouch OS 9 on top.

At the camera front, the device comes with a triple camera module compromising of a 12-megapixel primary sensor along with an f/1.78 lens, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, and a 5-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. At the front, the device houses a 32-megapixel camera sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. In contrast, the Vivi V15 Pro comes with a 48-megapixel primary Quad Pixel sensor (enabling 12-megapixel effective pixels) with an f/1.8 lens, along with an 8-megapixel secondary, AI Super Wide-Angle sensor with an f/2.2 lens, and a 5-megapixel tertiary, depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens.

The Vivo V15 comes with 128GB onboard storage which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB with OTG support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of the sensors, there is an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.

The device is backed up by a 4,000mAH battery that supports a Dual-Engine fast charging technology.
