Vivo has dropped prices of its budget smartphone Vivo Y71 in India. The phone was launched in April 2018 starting at ₹10,990. Vivo decided to drop the price of the 4GB variant which costs ₹12,990. The phone is now available at ₹11,990. However, there is no drop in the 3 GB variant of the phone. Mahesh Telecom, a Mumbai-based mobile retailer tipped off the price drop in a tweet on Monday.

The 6-inch full view HD+18:9 FullView display smartphone gives a resolution of 720×1440 pixels and is powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. It runs on the Android Oreo‘s based custom FunTouch skin on top. The smartphone is made of an Aluminium built body. Vivo Y71 is available in two variants- 3 GB and 16 GB storage and 4 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. Both variants have an option to expand up to 128 GB through a microSD card.

Vivo Y71 has a single 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The rear camera comes along with Phase detection Autofocus, LED flash and supports the light optimising feature. The front camera has an AI mode for beautifying selfies. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The accelerometer sensor, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor are also present. The phone is backed up by 3,300mAh battery.

Vivo E-Store and Amazon India, have not updated the price of the phone yet. However, Vivo confirmed only the price of the 4 GB RAM variant has been slashed by a thousand Rupees and will now cost ₹11,990. The Vivo Y71 3 GB RAM variant would still cost ₹10,990. Both phones are available in Black and Gold colours.
