The gaming industry is currently under a revolution or we might just say evolution. With major tech companies like Google, Microsoft, and Sony slowly moving into cloud and AR/VR gaming. Cloud, AR/VR gaming is going to be the new trend pretty soon. Microsoft’s xCloud is one such service that is going to be a major player in the cloud gaming market and it is all set to go head-to-head with Google Stadia(launches in November). Last month, xCloud game streaming preview went live for beta testers. Microsoft came up with a slew of announcements during the recent X019 event. Most of these announcements were related to its gaming subscription service Xbox Game Pass and its upcoming cloud-gaming service xCloud. Microsoft adds over 50 games to xCloud preview:
Microsoft’s xCloud service is going head-to-head with Google’s cloud-gaming service Stadia which launches on November 19th. And before Stadia arrives, Microsoft is in no mood to allow Google to have an upper hand and has announced that it is planning to add more than 50 new games to the xCloud preview, including Devil May Cry 5, Tekken 7 and Madden 2020.
Microsoft xCloud preview Expansion:
Microsoft shared on a blog post that it is planning to expand the xCloud preview to the US, UK and South Korea with plans of further expansion to Canada, India, Japan and Western Europe, next year.
Microsoft xCloud release date:
Even though no specific time-frame has been announced by Microsoft yet but the company plans to launch xCloud in 2020.
The xCloud preview is currently available for Android phones and tablets with plans to head to Windows PCs and other devices next year.
