Xiaomi released Mi Band 6, features SpO2 sensor, bigger AMOLED display: Check pricing and other details

Xiaomi launched an array of gadgets on March 29 including its flagship Mi 11 Series and Mi Band 6. Mi Band 6 is the successor to last year’s Mi Band 5. The latest fitness band from Xiaomi features a bigger screen and more sensors for better health tracking.

Xiaomi Mi Band 6 Specifications

The latest Mi Band 6 sports an impressive 1.56-inch AMOLED display, which is a considerable improvement from its predecessor’s 1.1-inch display. Xiaomi claims that the display size has increased by 50%. The display now has a better resolution- 326 x 152 pixels, which increases the pixel density to 326 PPI. The display has a peak brightness of 450 nits. Xiaomi has also reduced the bezels around the display, improving the overall look of the fitness band. The display is protected by tempered glass with an anti-fingerprint coating on top.

Mi Band 6 features multiple sensors for health tracking. The fitness band ships with a SpO2 sensor that monitors the blood oxygen level. As per Xiaomi, the sensor can be used to track the breathing air quality while sleeping. The band also features a heart rate sensor to keep track of the heart rate and also sleep-tracking sensors. The band also comes with female health tracking and stress monitoring sensors.

The latest Mi Band 6 brings 15 new exercise modes on top of the existing 15 exercise modes on Mi Band 5. In addition to this, the band also features 6 auto-detection tracking modes like indoor and outdoor running, cycling, rowing, etc.

As far as the battery is concerned, Mi Band 6 carries a 125mAh Li-Po battery, the same as last year’s Mi Band 5. The capsule can be charged through a magnetic pin. Xiaomi claims that the fitness band offers a 14-day battery with a single full charge. The band comes with water resistance up to 5 atm, making it safe for swimming.

Straps for Mi Band 6 are available in six color options- Black, Orange, Yellow, Olive, Ivory, and Blue. The Xiaomi Mi Band 6 starts from CNY 229 (Rs 2,500) in China for the non-NFC variant and the NFC variant is priced at CNY 279 (Rs 3,000). It will hit the Chinese market on April 2.

It will compete with the recently launched Oppo Band Style, which features a 1.1-inch AMOLED panel with a SpO2 sensor, 2.5D curved display, and other exercise modes, starting at Rs. 2,799.
