Xiaomi concluded its Smart Living Event 2021. MI Smart Speaker, MI band 5 were the key launches.
Xiaomi launched 6 new products in the event. Mi Smart Speaker, Mi Smart Bulb, Mi Athleisure Shoes, Mi Band 5, Mi Watch Revolve, and Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser.
First up is MI Smart Speaker.
The MI smart speaker is just like your Amazon Echo or Google Home. It has a sleek design and a matte finish. The smart speaker can understand Hindi and it can respond in Hindi as well. If you purchase one of these speakers, you get a free annual subscription to the Gaana app. It also supports the Google Assistant.
You can connect it to your phone, PC, or laptop as it has Wi-Fi connectivity. The smart speaker has a front-firing 12 W speakers with a 63.5 mm driver. It has 4 touch buttons on top for volume and power. It is priced at Rs 3,999 and has an introductory price of Rs 3,499 on Flipkart.
Next up is the MI Smart bulb.
This bulb can be controlled by your MI home app. It is a 7.5W B22 Bulb with an intensity of 810 lumens. You can buy it for Rs 499 on mi.com. It can be paired with the Amazon Echo app of the Google Home app.
Now moving onto the MI band 5.
The MI band 5 has been launched at a price of Rs 2,499. The band 3 and band 4 were also launched at the same price. Well at this price, the MI band offers quite some features. Some new additions are, it tracks your stress level, it has a new personal activity intelligence system. It also tracks menstruation cycles and sends monthly reminders. It has customized watch faces as you had in band 4. The band 5 comes in 5 color options.
Now next up is the MI Watch revolve.
Well, if you are not satisfied with just a fitness band and need something more, the smartwatch Revolve is for you. One of the marquee features is its battery life. It has a battery life of 2 days. The watch is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. It comes with lots of health-related features like energy or stress level, VO2 levels, etc.
It also has a Firstbeat Motion algorithm in it. The algorithm helps you track your fitness and wellbeing such as heart rate tracking, activity tracking, stress level tracking, and even energy level tracking. It has 100+ watch faces to choose from.
The watch will be available for its first sale on 6 October. Xiaomi has also announced an introductory offer, wherein customers buying the watch till Diwali will be able to purchase it for Rs 9,999.
MI Athleisure shoes.
It falls under the sports shoe category. The shoes have a shock-absorbing EVA sole, a honeycomb mesh design. The shoes are priced at Rs 1,499 and will be available for purchase on mi.com and Amazon starting today, 29 September.
The Automatic Soap dispenser.
It is something new by MI for the Indian market. The dispenser is automatic so hands-free washing hands. The dispenser senses your hands in less than 1.25 seconds. It can hold 300 ml of soap. It is priced at Rs 999 and comes with a free liquid soap pouch. The dispenser will be available starting today.
