Xiaomi has started rolling out the new MIUI which is also known as MIUI 11 version. The MIUI 11 version comes with these new features such as dynamic font scaling and dynamic sound effects. Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20, Redmi Note 7, Mi 9, Mi 9 SE, and Mi CC9 if you own any of these Redmi handsets than you are likely to get MIUI 11 first. The closed beta release of the latest MIUI is available for early testers, while its open beta rollout will be kicked off on September 27 for 17 different devices in China.

Alongside the formal debut, Xiaomi has announced the list of devices that are set to receive MIUI 11.

MIUI 11 features, changes:

New font Milan Pro added: The MIUI 11 update features a new font that Xiaomi calls ‘Milan Pro.’ The new skin also comes with the dynamic font scaling feature and includes dynamic sounds effects that resemble ambient sounds from nature.

Mi Work, Mi Go two new Office apps added: The MIUI 11 comes with preloaded two new suites of office apps, called Mi Work and Mi-Go.

Mi Work suite offers cross-platform file sharing, large document transfer between multiple devices, smart screencast, and wireless printing.

Mi Go suite is touted to include a smart travel assistant and brings a new “extreme power saving mode”, which enables a standby time of up to 24 hours with only five percent battery life.

Customizable lock screen: The lock screen on MIUI 11 is also customizable to let users write their personality attitude on the screen. There is also a new dynamic screen that brings a kaleidoscope effect with various patterns. Further, the skin brings a breathing light effect that offers a breathe-like experience on the display.

Kids mode to check how much time you spend on your device: MIUI 11 additionally includes a document viewer and a new reminder feature. Xiaomi has also included an upgraded kids mode and screen time management to provide data on how much time you spend on your device and for how many times you’ve unlocked the phone. Similarly, the new MIUI version comes with a feature to provide early earthquake warning through a prompt pop-up window and an alarm sound.

Press Power Button 5 times in case of Emergency: In case of an emergency, MIUI 11 allows users to activate an emergency mode by pressing the power button five times in a row. The mode, once activated, will send a message with location information to a preset contact and automatically dial an emergency number.

MIUI 11 rollout schedule:

The closed beta release of MIUI 11 is already available for users signing up through WeChat, while its open beta will debut on 27 September 2019. A QR code is available on the MIUI website to let users sign up for the closed beta release.

As per the details available on the MIUI website, the Stable Chinese ROM will be rolled out to these devices listed below in the mid of October.:

After that rollout, MIUI 11 Stable Chinese ROM will debut for the Mi Mix, Mi 5S, Mi 5S Plus, Mi 5X, Mi 5C, Mi Note 2, Mi Play, and Mi Max 2 in early November. The update will also reach the Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi 5 Plus, Redmi 5, Redmi 5A, Redmi 4X, and the Redmi Note 5A.
