Redmi is all set to launch Redmi Note 10S on May 13 in India. On Tuesday, Xiaomi also teased that it will release Redmi Watch alongside Redmi Note 10S in India. Redmi Watch was first launched in China in November 2020, then it was rebranded as Mi Watch Lite for some global markets. The watch comes with a square-shaped dial and offers 12 days of battery life.

Redmi India took to its Twitter account and released a teaser video. The video features a wrist wrap of a smartwatch with square dials and mentions “#wearyourVIBE” that hints the arrival of the Redmi Watch in India. However, Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the name of the product yet.

Redmi Watch (China Model) Specifications

The Indian variant of the Redmi Watch is expected to come with the same specifications as the Chinese variant. In that case, the smartwatch will come with a 1.4-inch HD square-shaped IPS LCD color display with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. The display has a pixel density of 323ppi and is protected by 2.5D curved glass. The wearable offers over 200 watch faces.

The watch comes with 7 sports modes including running, cycling, swimming, etc. in the Chinese variant, whereas, the global variant comes with 11 sports modes. The watch is also water-resistant up to 50 meters. It comes with an optical sensor for 24-hour heart rate monitoring and also offers a 30-day report of the user’s heart rate. In addition to this, the watch also comes with a SpO2 sensor for tracking blood oxygen levels and sleep monitoring.

Redmi Watch packs a 230mAh battery that takes around 2 hours to fully charge. Xiaomi claims that the watch will offer up to 7 days of backup on a single full charge and up to 12 days of backup with battery save mode. The watch ships with GPS/GLONASS and NFC for contactless payments. The watch is compatible with both Android and iOS smartphones and can be connected via the Mi Fit app.

Redmi Watch Expected Price

Redmi Watch is available in China in three color options- Elegant Black, Ink Blue, and Ivory White. On the other hand, straps are available in four color options- Cherry Blossom, Elegant Black, Ink Blue, and Ivory White. It was launched in China at CNY 299 (Rs. 3,400) and is expected to be priced nearly the same in India.

However, these are speculations and we have to wait for the official introduction(13th May) of the wearable for further details regarding the pricing and availability.
