The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has cemented its foot in the Indian market with the help of its affordable products. Xiaomi stands as one of the key players in the Indian smartphone market on the basis of its budget smartphone lineups such as the Note series, The A series, or the latest Poco F1. Recently, the new applied GST rates, as well as Indian rupee fairing well against U.S dollar, has resulted in Xiaomi lowering prices on a number of its smartphones.

Here is a convenient list of the smartphones from Xiaomi that are being subjected to the price cut:

  • Xiaomi Redmi 6A(2GB/16GB) is powered by 2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2 GB of ram and 16 GB of storage which can be expanded up to 256 GB with a micro SD. The phone packs a 13-megapixel(f/2.2) primary camera with a 5-megapixel front shooter. Redmi 6A received a price cut of ₹600 and has been listed ₹5,999 after the price cut.
  • Xiaomi Redmi (2GB/32GB) has the same specification as above mentioned except it has higher inbuilt storage capacity i.e, 32GB. The phone received a price cut of ₹ 500 and its price in India is ₹6,999 after the price cut.
  • Xiaomi Poco F1 (8GB/256GB0) was Xiaomi’s answer to Oneplus. With a whopping 8 GB of RAM and the latest Qualcomm processor, Poco F1 grabbed a lot of attention, especially for its price segment. Poco F1 sports 12-megapixel (f/1.9) primary camera and a 5-megapixel (f/2.0) secondary camera on the rear and a 20-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The 8 GB variant of Poco F1 has received a price cut of ₹1000 and is now available at ₹27,999.
  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro was launched in India in February 2018 and comes in two variations of RAM; 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB. The phone is fueled by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 and runs Xiaomi custom skin MIUI. The phone packs a 12-megapixel (f/2.2, 1.25-micron) primary camera and a 5-megapixel (f/2.0, 1.12-micron) secondary camera on the rear and a 20-megapixel front shooter for selfies. Both the 4GB and 6GB variants of Note 5 Pro has received a price cut of ₹1000. They have been priced ₹13,999 and ₹15,999 respectively after the price cut.
  • Xiaomi A2 is the successor of Xiaomi’s much liked phone Xiaomi A1. The Xiaomi comes in two variants of RAM 4GB and 6GB. Both the variants have received a price cut of ₹1000. The Mi A2 is powered by Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor and runs on Android Oreo out of the box. The phone has 64GB and 128GB storage capacity depending on the variant, the storage cannot be expanded as the phone lacks a slot for micro SD card. In terms of camera, the Xiaomi Mi A2 packs a 12-megapixel (f/1.8) primary sensor and a 20-megapixel (f/1.8) secondary sensor on the rear and a 20-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The 4Gb and the 6Gb variant have been priced ₹15,999 and 18,999 respectively after the price cut.
  • Xiaomi Mi Y2 with 4GB of RAM and 64 Gb of internal storage received a price cut of ₹1000. Mi Y2 is powered by 2GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor and runs on Android Oreo out of the box. Storage on the phone can be expanded up to 256 GB using a micro SD card. In the camera department, the Xiaomi Redmi Y2 packs a 12-megapixel (f/2.2) primary camera on the rear and a 16-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
