Karnataka Police raided a place within limits of Fartabad police station and arrested 24 people on gambling charges.
The people were caught playing card games and cash amounting to Rupees 3, 51, 060 were recovered by the Police from the spot.
Kalaburgi Police Commissioner N Satessh Kumar stated that “A raid was conducted at a place in Fartabad police station limits of Kollur village, where gambling was taking place. Police nabbed 24 accused who were playing a card game and recovered Rs 3, 51, 060 from the spot”, as reported by ANI News.
Further investigation continues as more and more cases continue to keep coming relating to those of gambling and betting, especially in view of IPL 2020.
