In the shocking news that comes from Bengaluru, 65 people were arrested for gambling in a hotel at Bengaluru. The police seized Rupees 96 Lakh in cash from the spot.
This is the biggest gambling raid conducted by Central Crime Branch, Bengaluru and easily qualifies as an high-end event.
The majority of the arrested people hailed from Andhra Pradesh and two of the detained people were the organizers of the event taking place in a hotel at Mahadevapur area.
One of the CCB officials stated that, “We got a tip-off that one of the biggest gambling events was being organised at the hotel. Most of the people were from Andhra Pradesh who had been invited for the high-end event”, reported The Hindu.
It is quite surprising that such huge number of people gathered at the spot for the event and the enormous amount of cash was placed for stakes, considering the pandemic.
