Lottery company Allwyn has committed itself to become a net-zero carbon company by 2030 or earlier.

The company announced of its goals to become first net-zero lottery company along with taking pledge by signing the Planet Mark Zero Carbon Commitment.

As per Gambling Insider, Sir Keith Mills, Allwyn Chairman, said: “Combating climate change is the issue of our generation. Every human activity creates carbon emissions – even buying a lottery ticket. Addressing that, achieving net-zero is not someone else’s problem, it is everyone’s responsibility. The business has a vital role to play.”

The operator has agreed to abide by United Nations’ Race to Zero as it attempts to gain UK National Lottery licence for the fourth time.
