The Dutch Gaming Authority, Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) has teamed up with Facebook in an effort to tackle illegal lottery organizations running online.
The illegal organizers use Facebook as a medium to offer lottery services and by-pass necessary licensing procedures.
The KSA has investigated over 13 such cases and entered into agreement with Facebook, where the social media giant will remove such activities and groups from its platforms.
The two organizations would be working together to devise an effective way to identify such law breakers and deal with them accordingly.
According to KSA, teaming up with Facebook is the fastest way to combat violations of Dutch Gambling law.
