French casinos have been allowed re-opening from December 15, 2020.
The nation went into second phase of lockdown from October 30 following second wave of COVID-19.
Casinos de France, the trade union in France confirmed the news of the re-opening.
French casino industry which is responsible for providing 15,000 direct jobs and 45,000 indirect jobs had been suffering financially due to lockdown.
The casinos on re-opening will have to follow strict safety and health norms in order to protect the customers and collaborators.
France Galop predicted a continued lockdown would cost the French horse racing industry around €30m ($35.6m), reported Gambling Insider.
