Two separate incidents of busting gambling rackets in Hyderabad itself came to light recently where the accused in both the cases were allegedly running gambling racket.
In one incident, Vijay Kumar aged 42 (as reported by Times of India) was nabbed by Hyderabad Police from Begum Bazar by West Zone task force for allegedly running a betting racket for IPL 2020 tournaments.
The police recovered a TV Set and cash amounting to Rupees 32,500 from the accused.
In another such incident in Hyderabad, the Police busted a betting racket for organizing betting activities in IPL 2020 cricket matches.
This was done by South Zone task force police, which arrested 2 persons and recovered Rupees 40,000 in cash and two mobile phones from arrestees.
The Police raided a shop on Shama talkies road under Falaknuma police stations upon receiving certain information. While 2 persons were arrested the third punter managed to escape the clutches of the Police. The identity is known to the Police and it continues to search for the third person.
