IPL 2020 : 3 Bookies arrested in Ahmedabad, 8 held in Indore, 2 arrested in Delhi

Ahmedabad police arrested 3 bookies from different locations in Ahmedabad for betting on IPL 2020 matches.

Sarkhej police caught Sajjad Momin of Fatehwadi for passing betting informations to Kasim Khan and Asif Dhebu for running of betting racket. Both Asif and Kasim are wanted in a case, reported Times of India.

Shahibaug police arrested Nimish Jain for betting on IPL 2020 matches whereas, Jatin Shah and Hrushak Patel are wanted in the case.

In the third incident, Ahmedabad police caught Jignesh Makwana from Radhe Avenue in Behrampur for IPL 2020 related betting.

Special Task Force Police of Indore arrested 8 people from a flat in Niranjanpur after it raided the location on the basis of tip-off.

The police seized Rs 15.19 Lakh cash, register containing transaction details of Rs 3 crore, 40 mobiles, 2 laptops, 1 LED and one mobile junction box.

STF SP Manish Khatri told ANI, “Our team was gathering more information for the past 10 days. When premises were raided by our team along with SHO MA Sayyaed, 5 people were caught while they were doing the betting. The main accused is Jaywant and his brother Jayesh. Eight people have been arrested. Jaywant`s wife Sonali and his brother-in-law Aman Jain were among those arrested accused”, Zee Business News reported.

In third event, Delhi Police arrested 2 people for betting on IPL 2020 matches.

The accused were identified as Mohit Verma (27) and Deepak Kumar (27), both residents of Delhi and were arrested from a flat in the Greater Kailash area, reported Times of India.

In the action, police recovered six mobile phones, a laptop, an LED TV, and a wireless internet router from their possession.
