The series of betting related arrests are not coming to a halt in Hyderabad. The Hyderabad police in different parts of the city has busted more than 5 gambling rackets that were allegedly betting on IPL 2020 matches.

This time, North Zone task force team arrested 4 persons for online betting racket from Rasoolpura area in Hyderabad.

The accused were identified as Alugu Raju, the organizer, Dasari Venkatesh, co-organizer, Katta Avinash and Kurva Vijay Kumar, both punters, reported Times of India.

In another news, Chattisgarh police arrested three persons for running betting racket in state’s capital city, Raipur.

The arrested persons were identified as are Rakesh Meghani (28), Kushal Jain (27) and Rahul Khatri (25), all residents of Raipur, reported The Pioneer.

Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Yadav stated that the Police seized three mobile phones, a laptop, Rs 33,500 in cash and betting records detailing transactions of more than Rs 1 crore from the possession of the accused persons.

According to the Pioneer, officer Yadav stated that the persons apprehended were betting on match being played between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals on Saturday night from the house in the Azad Chowk police station limits in Raipur.

Police have arrested 30 persons so far for operating IPL betting rackets in Raipur.
