Gambling Insider and Die Welt have reported that two matches from the Wimbledon 2021 are under radar for potential match fixing.

The issue came to light when irregular betting patterns were observed one singles match and one doubles match in London this year. Various betting firms too have reported of the abnormal betting patterns in this series. However, precise details have yet to be confirmed.

The irregularities were noticed on the basis of the fact that in doubles matches, the betting were exponentially placed on the losing prediction of the duo. The duo won the first set and ultimately lost all other sets, raising the alleged suspicion of manipulation further.

In another alleged match fixing suspicion, a high sum bet involving money in 5 digits, was placed on the exact same result of the match after the second set. The bets were also placed on the number of service games within the match which ultimately turned out to be the winning bets.

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA), is investigating the allegations and is not allowed to comment until completion of the investigation.
