MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, The Mirage Hotel & Casino and Excalibur Hotel & Casino owned by MGM Resorts International are set to operate at 100 percent capacity.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board has permitted the operator to open its gaming floors at Las Vegas at full capacity. However, non-gaming floors such as restaurants, pools and other non-gaming areas have been allowed to operate at 80 percent capacity.

The COVID-19 restrictions such as social distancing are no longer required.

As per Gambling Insider, MGM Resorts says: “the waiver was granted based on MGM Resorts’ work to vaccinate its workforce.”

CEO & President, Bill Hornbuckle said: “This is yet another major milestone in Las Vegas’ incredible recovery and a testament to the importance of vaccination in the effort to fully reopen our community.

“We will continue working to vaccinate as many people as possible and remain vigilant with health and safety protocols designed to protect our employees, guests and community. This vital work must continue for us to defeat this virus, and MGM Resorts is committed to doing our part to get it done.”

The operator stated that vaccination of its workforce is its top priority.
