The gambling industry in United States is set to gain hugely as three states in US have legalized sports betting.
After Supreme Court of United States, in a case decided three years ago, left it to the states to decide on the legalization of gambling and betting in their respective states, at-least half of the states in US have legalized gambling.
In recent polls, Maryland, South Dakota and Louisiana approved sports betting while other states either expanded casino gambling games or approved casinos in limited locations.
The gambling industry in US has expressed pleasure on such embracing of the gambling activities by people of United States.
American Gaming Association, the casino industry’s main trade group’s CEO, Bill Miller stated that, “As a result of successful ballot measures in six gaming states, more Americans will have access to much needed job opportunities, dedicated tax revenue, and safe, regulated entertainment options closer to home”, reported abc News.
