Within few months of launching of mobile sports betting platforms, Michigan has reached a milestone earning of more than 1 billion.

According the data released by Michigan Gaming Control Board, the state’s online sports betting handle generated $249.9 million in April alone.

This saw however, 30% decline from $359.5 million revenue in March.

Despite this, since the online sports wagering was legalized only On January 22, surpassing $1 billion mark within three months, is the fastest any state with legal sports betting has done.

As per Gambling.com, MGCB executive director Richard S. Kalm said: “While the sports betting handle dropped 30-plus percent, which we expected the month after March Madness, internet casino gaming adjusted gross receipts held steady with a slight two-tenths of a percent increase in April.”
