Several construction projects were impacted because of COVID-19 and suffered huge setbacks. Few managed to run again, while others phased out.

Amidst all this, Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) in South Korea is determined to carry forward its dream project, Inspire Korea.

The casino project was supposed to be launched by the year 2022. However, following pandemic related setbacks, the new timeline for the launch of the said casino project is estimated to be 2023.

Mohegan is positive that it would be able to finish what it had started and has re-allocated $ 200 million for the same.

As per CalvinAyre.com, the company’s VP of Corporate Finance, Chris Jones, said: “We are getting into a lot of long-form documentation at this point. Korea is in a very heightened sense of COVID restrictions. Even though they have a lower number of cases in that market they are very wary about it, so as a result we’ve seen things slow down. But we are optimistic that we will be able to close on the financing over the next couple of months and get construction ramped up again.”
