The Dutch authorities are close to entering the regulated market in their country. The country’s gambling market will become effective in April 2021.

In light of this, the Netherlands Gaming Authority (Kansspelautoriteit) has amended its rules on match fixing and money laundering and has updated the Act on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.

The Remote Gaming Act (Koa), would ensure the regulation of Holland’s gambling market and would govern the applications for an online gaming license, which can be submitted after April, 2021.

As per Gambling Insider, the new guidelines involve the addition of the risk of match fixing, with issues such as crediting and debiting the gaming account without undue delay, and identification and verification also discussed in the amended rules after consultation.
