The COVID-19 induced lockdown has entered eight month in Peru and the casinos remain shut down.

Due to long period of shut down and losses in jobs, the casino workers have raised vehement protest against the shut down.

The workers have taken to road and have been shouting slogans against the lock-down in the rallies.

One of the persons representing casino employees, Johan Escalante, stated, “We’re already in compliance with protocols. All betting rooms have been adapted to comply with the guidelines established by the Ministry of Health and by Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism. We already have an approved pre-protocol the [authorities] haven’t published it yet”, reported CalvinAyre.

According to reports, almost 50,000 workers have resorted to protest in various parts of Peru.
